BUSY BEE SATURDAY 4th July 2020
STARTING AT 9am
The first busy bee for the off season break is well overdue as a result of
We would like as many members as possible to attend this one as there is a fair bit of work to do.
The following is a list of tasks and items needed:
General weeding -
Whipper Snippers inc cord, fuel. Rakes, shovels, barrows, spades.
Weed Spraying - pesticide and weed sprayers, safety equipment relating to sprayers.
( We must whippersnip BEFORE
Replacing track boards - This will be subject to the track condition at the time. Hammers, spanners, screwdrivers.
Support posts for drivers stand shade - Removal of steps on drivers
stand, Digging of holes, concreting in posts. - Spanners, Post hole shovels, spirit levels, buckets for water, crowbar.
Installation of poles for shadesail over public terraces - Screw driver, rubber mallet, gloves,
post hole shovels, crowbar, spirit level, tape measures, buckets for water, jackhammer if possible. A laser level would be greatly appreciated.
Emptying/cleaning of ALL bins - gloves, high pressure washer, small house broom,
Painting of handrails - 2in paintbrushes and cleanup materials, galv paint, Industrial yellow paint will be supplied.
Re-securing of tarpaulins on tarp trolley.
Other tools that may be required
- Heavy duty wire cutters, angle grinder, tyre inflater/guage. Wheel barrows, rakes etc all come in handy.
**Please bring anything you think may come in handy. We would rather have something we didnt need than not being
able to do a task due to lack of equipment.
We would appreciate donations of weed spray, antex, spider spray and motor oil just to lighten the load on costs to the club. Anything not used on the day will still be stored for later use.
to bring your PPE, and something to drink/eat.
Please see John Summerfield on arrival who will allocate tasks. We ideally would like to direct people with suitability to the task in mind.
As you can see by the above, this will be a big day. But if we get a good turnout, we will not have to rely on more busy bees before we head into the race season.
The track will not be available for practice so please dont bring your

Office bearer nominations and motions for rule changes must be recieved by the club BEFORE June 26th.
THE PRESENTATION AWARDS NIGHT is Saturday August 22nd starting
Advice of attendance together with payment must be paid by August 8th as this is the date the caterer requires confirmation.
The club will not accept any payment or advice after August 8th.
